Detailed insights to refractory, equipment & melting process at extreme temperatures
The earlier problems in thermoprocessing plants are detected and identified beyond doubt, the easier, more plannable and more cost-efficient it is to solve them. For this purpose, state-of-the-art inspection devices are equally important as specialist knowledge and the relevant experience necessary to interpret results correctly and develop the appropriate solutions.
We offer you:
- modern diagnostics by use of self developed high-end equipment and optimised devices
- monitoring and documenting of the oven conditions and the modes of equipment operation as seen from several perspectives and up to 1800 °C
- selection of the appropriate inspection method from a comprehensive portfolio, customised to your requirements
- independent interpretation of the results by recognised specialists performing more than 80 inspections per year
Inspection of production facilities during operation
The appropriate combination of the various inspection methods and the use of state-of-the-art equipment opens up previously inconceivable opportunities. We are thus setting new standards in furnace diagnostics.
Our objectives:
- capitalization of knowledge concerning the behaviour and operation mode of furnace components
- monitoring of the combustion chamber regarding flame formation and burnout characteristics
- detection of wearout at the refractory
Your advantages:
- in-time-analysis of the actual conditions of the facility
- verification of the functionality and effectiveness of components
- technological optimisation of the melting process
- periodic inspections for a continuous documentation of the facilities wear rate
Thermography
The additional visualisation of the temperature field in the furnace offers a new dimension in furnace diagnostics.
- use of calibrated, high-resolution cameras (up to 1800 °C)
- very high thermal image resolution and contrasts in imaging
- real (photo) and thermography images are taken simultaneously
- video sequences show areas with suboptimal energy use as well as harmful flow patterns
Typical applications:
- monitoring of the combustion chamber regarding flame formation and burnout characteristics
- energetic optimisation of the furnace
- localisation of hotspots
- detection of violation of the critical temperature limits of the refractory
Documentation
The results of our inspections are routinely summarised in a standardised documentation. This includes:
- detailed structuring of results
- thorough substantiation of the results through pictures and videos to make them easily comprehensible
- a download document via our server
Following the inspection, you will receive the complete documentation as well as an evaluation of the results. We will also give you solution-oriented recommendations for the further operation and maintenance of your furnace, tailored to your requirements.
